The pharmacy profession is evolving rapidly. We’re no longer confined to the dispensary; today, pharmacists are trusted health advisors and advocates for self-care and as this role expands, mentorship has become essential. It’s not just about giving advice - it’s about building confidence, developing skills, and creating a supportive community that ensures the profession continues to grow.

Pharmacists are now champions of self-care. With healthcare system pressures mounting, we’ve become the first point of contact for healthcare advice and guidance. This shift reflects our growing role in promoting informed health choices, easing pressure on primary care, and supporting a sustainable healthcare system.

I’ve had incredible mentors throughout my journey, and now I want to give back. My goal is to create an inclusive space where ideas flow and confidence grows. Pharmacy offers endless opportunities, and adaptability is key. Whether you start in patient care or move into community health support, every step matters.

I truly believe in the power and enthusiasm of young people. Drawing on my own experiences, I strive to create an inclusive environment where everyone can share ideas. Often, the most innovative solutions come from those just starting out.”

Describe Kenvue in one word: Supportive

When my mum was diagnosed with cancer, I saw how a specialist pharmacist’s expertise positively affected her treatment and reassurance. This demonstrated to me the vital role pharmacists have in patient care and inspired my pursuit of this career.

I began as a community pharmacist supporting patients, then moved into healthcare communications to broaden pharmacy’s impact. Now, at Kenvue, I leverage my clinical expertise in strategic healthcare marketing to enhance patient outcomes and engage healthcare professionals.

Mentorship is an area close to my heart. As a student, I didn’t know how many career paths existed beyond hospital and community pharmacy. That’s why I joined the EPSA Mentoring Project, to give students the guidance I wish I had. I hope to help them build confidence, develop skills, and see the value of their expertise in shaping healthcare. Pharmacy is evolving, and with curiosity, adaptability, and support, we can create a future where pharmacists make an even bigger impact.

Being able to bring a pharmacist’s perspective into marketing initiatives and strategies in my current role makes me feel like I am still making a big difference in patient health outcomes and is a significant milestone for me.”
