A Total Quit™ is when we achieve freedom from tobacco and nicotine. While great strides have been made in smoking cessation, we believe that experts and health policymakers must now focus their efforts on supporting smokers and alternative tobacco and nicotine product users in achieving a Total Quit. As the makers of Nicorette®*, we believe that both, ensuring access to cessation tools, and regulating the increasing non-therapeutic use of recreational alternative tobacco and nicotine products is critical to achieve this.
We are proud that in the U.K., Nicorette® Quick Mist® became the first medicine licensed for vaping cessation in 2023, and in 2025 that indication expanded across the full Nicorette® portfolio in the UK. The brand is also supporting public health dialogue on youth nicotine addiction and cessation policy.
Smoking remains a leading preventable cause of death in the U.K., while vaping, especially among young people and non-smokers continues to raise public health concerns. Nicorette® has also supported the report Endgame: Managing the Disposable Vapes Ban and the Journey to a Smokefree Future, helping to advance dialogue on youth nicotine addiction and modern cessation policy. This work is informed by Kenvue’s focus on enabling healthier outcomes for people and communities.
We are proud to engage in public health dialogue across Europe. In 2025, we joined discussions with the World Health Organization, the European Network for Smoking and Tobacco Prevention, and European Union policymakers on youth nicotine addiction and the need for public health frameworks that reflect today’s changing nicotine landscape.
What’s next for Nicorette® in Europe?
Whether adults are trying to quit cigarettes or vaping (where licensed) Nicorette® aims to provide trusted support that can help them make lasting change. Guided by Kenvue’s Healthy Lives Mission, the brand continues to focus on expanding access to cessation support and contributing to public health efforts across Europe.
