At Kenvue, we believe that providing everyday care means delivering safe, effective products while prioritizing human health and environmental responsibility. Intentional design empowers sustainable innovation. That’s why Kenvue has embedded its patent-pending Sustainable Innovation Profiler into the product development cycle, allowing teams to measure environmental performance in real time to ensure we do not create unintended trade-offs.

Driving green chemistry forward

The improved performance of the new chamomile formula was primarily driven by a lower watch list score, an internal measure that helps identify ingredients that may face future regulatory or safety concerns. Within the Sustainable Innovation Profiler, green chemistry is evaluated across three criteria designed to support safety for both consumers and ecosystems. In addition to managing ingredients on the internal watch list, the tool assesses a formulation’s Global Aquatic Ingredient Assessment™ (GAIA) score to help reduce environmental persistence and toxicity, while also prioritizing renewable origins to lessen reliance on fossil resources.

By marrying scientific rigor with consumer-centric design, Johnson’s® Baby is proving that the products we reach for every day can protect the planet for generations to come.Learn more about our Sustainable Innovation Profiler methodology.
