In 2025, Aveeno® introduced a full plastic, metal-free pump dispenser for lotion bottles in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa (EMEA), designed to support easier recyclability and withstand the demands of e-commerce shipping.
Aveeno® replaced traditional lotion pumps that include metal parts with a redesigned dispenser that reduces material complexity and is more compatible with recycling systems. The change also supports the brand’s effort to improve packaging design through Healthy Lives Mission, including switching to bottles made with 100% post-consumer recycled plastic across the Aveeno® Adult portfolio.
Built for the modern marketplace
The metal-free pump also supports Aveeno®’s effort to reduce virgin plastic use and expand recycled content. In 2025, the brand continued its global rollout of bottles made from 100% post-consumer recycled (PCR) content across the Aveeno® Adult portfolio, helping remove approximately 300 metric tons of virgin plastic from the value chain annually and reduce reliance on fossil-based feedstocks.

Looking ahead, Aveeno® hopes to expand its portfolio of bottles made with 100% PCR plastic across the Aveeno® Baby line and continue introducing full plastic pumps in additional product lines globally.
