Listerine® earned its spot by connecting its science-backed heritage to culture in bold ways. From claiming New Year’s Eve as its signature moment with immersive activations and a CNN New Year’s Eve Live takeover, to launching Listerine Clinical Solutions®, the brand achieved 740M impressions and led in share of voice.

Neutrogena® was celebrated for blending dermatologist-backed science with culturally relevant storytelling. Through partnerships with John Cena, Tate McRae, and Hailee Steinfeld, Neutrogena® delivered campaigns that generated billions of impressions, boosted purchase intent, and strengthened connections with younger consumers while reinforcing its clinical credibility.

Now in its fifth year, Brands That Matter is among the most competitive awards programs, attracting nearly 1,200 submissions from companies across industries. Fast Company’s editorial team selected just 121 brands for their cultural resonance, distinctiveness, inventiveness, and influence—making this recognition especially significant.
