At Kenvue, we know that the health of people and the planet are deeply connected. Our climate action strategy focuses on a transition toward net zero, and our regional approach is driving real results.
At the heart of our decarbonization strategy lies a powerful principle—think globally, act locally. Instead of a one-size-fits-all plan, we empower each manufacturing site to develop a tailored roadmap that addresses their unique energy needs, equipment, and local market conditions. This strategy, combined with data-driven decision-making and cleaner technologies, allows us to seize local opportunities, mitigate risks, and drive innovation—helping build a more resilient and sustainable future.
Our teams are making meaningful progress in renewable electricity1 through a dual approach, combining onsite and offsite solutions to power our operations. Kenvue currently has 23 onsite solar systems across 13 countries and 12 offsite contracts, including virtual power purchase agreements (VPPAs) in North America and Europe, direct PPAs in Argentina, Brazil, and India, green retail contracts in China, Colombia, Malaysia, and Singapore, and energy attribute certificates (EACs) in China and India. As of 2024, we sourced 72% of our total electricity needs from renewable sources.
And our regional progress is really showing the power of tailored action. Here’s how we’re doing:
- APAC: 10 out of 11 sites are now using renewable electricity, including Bangkok, where our largest solar installation supplies about 20% of the site’s needs.
- EMEA: 9 out of 11 sites use renewable electricity, supported by a new wind-based VPPA covering seven European facilities.
- NA: All manufacturing sites and corporate offices are covered by a long-term VPPA.
- LATAM: All facilities are now running on 100% renewable electricity.
We’re proud of our teams’ progress and remain committed to reaching 100% renewable electricity1 globally by 20302.
