HLM healthy practices

Maintain healthy practice

We believe in promoting a culture of integrity, ethics and transparency to build trust and create meaningful, long-term value.

Whether for people, business partners or our planet, our Kenvue Values guide how we treat our people, innovate, conduct business and design our products. We’re committed to continually earning a place for our products in consumers’ hearts and homes, and we do this by delivering safe, effective products that support healthy people and planet.

Sustainable product innovation

Through innovation, we aim to improve the environmental performance of our products, minimizing the impact our products have on every aspect of our global value chain throughout their lifecycle. Our new Sustainable Innovation Profiler, an eco-design tool, will measure progress against our goals by guiding how new products deliver against our Healthy Lives Mission commitments, future-proofing products by flagging ingredient concerns, and promoting the adoption of sustainable alternative raw materials.

Our goals & commitments:

  • 75% of new product development,1 using eco-design scientific principles,2 will have an improved environmental performance3 by 20304

Partnering for impact

We’ve been a member of the EcoBeautyScore Consortium since 2021 and, as an early supporter of this initiative, we are proud of our contributions to create an industry standard environmental impact scoring system for cosmetics and personal care products. This work is important because it will enable consumers to compare product scores within a specific category and make informed buying choices.

1. New product development includes: improvement of existing product, extension of product line, or new-to-the-market in each calendar year.
2. Eco-design scientific principles are defined as the 16 life cycle analysis (LCA) impact categories aligned with product environmental footprint (PEF) methodology.
3. Where regulation allows, improved environmental performance is defined as a 10% combined overall improvement against 16 life cycle analysis (LCA) impact categories defined according to product environmental footprint (PEF) methodology, with no regression compared to benchmark product; and must include a minimum 10% reduction in carbon impact.
4. We aim to meet the goal by end of fiscal year and publish the year after.
