I lead quality and compliance across Latin America, which means overseeing everything from product development to distribution. If it’s going to reach a consumer’s hands, my team has a role in ensuring its quality. That includes the quality of suppliers, our manufacturing and distribution processes, and how products perform once they’re in the market.

You’ve been with the company for nearly 20 years. How did you get your start?

I started here as an intern in regulatory affairs, working in medical devices. After a few years, I left to join a smaller company where I was hired to handle registrations—but they didn’t have quality systems in place. So I built those systems myself and discovered a real passion for quality. I like to understand the “why” behind things, and quality gave me a chance to do that. Once I finished my master’s degree, I came back in a quality role and I’ve stayed in the field ever since.

What was it about quality that resonated with you?

It just made sense. As I said, I need to understand the reason I’m doing something—so I can improve it or confirm it’s right. Quality lets you see the end-to-end impact of a decision. Sometimes that impact is immediate, other times it becomes clear in the future. Either way, you have to understand it.

Is there such a thing as a typical day for you?

No—and that’s what I love. Each day at Kenvue is different. I spend a lot of time with people, whether in one-on-ones or team conversations. I’ve learned I’m a very social person. If I had to sum it up in one word, I’d say my job is about risk—preventing it, solving for it, investigating it and transforming processes to reduce it. Every day is shaped by that.

Can you share an example?

In June, I prepared for a certification inspection at a newly acquired manufacturing plant. That means building a plan, assigning responsibilities, training people and aligning with how the authorities want to see things done.

And a bit before that, I collaborated with an external partner to explore innovative approaches to root cause analysis. While we already apply Six Sigma and other quality engineering tools, traditional methods don’t always resolve complex issues. I’m always eager to discover new ways of thinking—especially when it comes to solving challenges that require fresh perspectives.

What’s most rewarding about being a people leader at Kenvue?

Helping people grow. When someone discovers their strength, finds what they love, and begins to shine—that’s the most fulfilling part of my job.

I also love being part of product launches. Even if our role isn’t always visible, we’re there from the beginning, solving issues and cutting timelines so products can succeed.

Are you involved in any Kenvue Impact Network programs?

Yes! First, I sponsor our Equity in STEM at Kenvue initiative, which empowers youth across Latin America—particularly those from underserved communities—to explore careers in science and technology. We work with children and teens aged 5 to 17, helping spark curiosity and build confidence in their future potential.

I also champion our Women in Manufacturing program, which creates a supportive environment for women to explore careers in manufacturing and operations. Participants design their own training paths, receive mentorship, and develop leadership skills. Many have already stepped into first-line leadership roles, and this year, we’re expanding the program to include wage employees. It’s truly transformational.

Three words to describe working at Kenvue?

Courageous. Resilient. Ethical. We face change head-on, and we always aim to do the right thing.

What Kenvue products are in your home?

Tylenol® is a must. LISTERINE®, too. We recently launched a watermelon flavor that my daughters love. And BAND-AID® Brand adhesive bandages! With kids, we go through a lot of those.

Any advice for someone starting out in their career?

Experiment. Try different ideas—not just within your field but outside of it, too. Even if you love your current job, you might love something else even more. Every experience adds perspective and helps you make better decisions. And don’t take everything so seriously. Stay open. Be curious.
